PDF FORM INSTRUCTIONS

Opening a PDF form
After clicking on the link to the form you require, Acrobat PDF Reader will open within your browser window and open the document. (If you have Acrobat Reader configured as a stand-alone application, it will open in its own window. Visit the Acrobat Reader Support Area for more information on configuring your browser.)

Navigating in a PDF Form

Zoom-In Tool - Zooms in on the PDF document.
Zoom-Out Tool - Zooms out of the PDF document.

Save a Copy - Saves a copy of the original PDF document to your computer.*

Filling-in a PDF Form
The PDF forms in this section can be filled-in on your computer and printed, or printed and filled-in by hand. If you fill-in a PDF form on your computer, there are a few things you need to be aware of:

Acrobat Reader does not enable you to save or store any of the information you have filled-in on your form. When you close the form, all data you have added will be cleared. You must print the form prior to closing it if you want the filled-in information to print.

To fill-in your form with your computer keyboard, click on the "Hand" tool on the Acrobat Reader tool bar and pass the icon over a fillable area. When the icon changes into an "I-beam," click once and begin typing. Press the "Tab" key to advance the blinking cursor to the next fillable area, or use the hand icon and click on the next area you want to type in. Pressing the "Tab" and "Shift" keys simultaneously moves the cursor to the previous fillable area.
To clear a line of text you have entered, highlight the text and press the "Delete" or "Backspace" key. To clear the entire form of any text you have entered, close the web browser.
When you have finished filling-in the form, click the hand icon anywhere outside of a fillable area. Leaving a blinking cursor in a fillable area may cause that line to not print.
None of the information you enter is sent over the internet, processed, or recorded. You must print a paper copy of the form and forward it to Lacey Spring Fun Fair for processing.

Magnifying or Reducing the Form View
If you need to magnify your view of the form, select the "Zoom-In" tool and click on the form. Successive clicks will zoom in further. Then use the hand tool to move the form around in your browser window.

To decrease magnification, select the "Zoom-Out" tool and click on the form. Successive clicks will zoom out further.

Saving a copy of a PDF Form *
To save a copy of a PDF form on your computer, click on the "Save a Copy" button on the Acrobat Reader tool bar (not your browser's tool bar). Please note that Lacey Spring Fun Fair forms are periodically revised. If you choose to save a form on your computer, you should check for a newer version prior to reuse. Caution: Acrobat Reader does not enable you to save information you have filled-in on your form or e-mail a completed form to another person. When you close the form, all data you have added will be cleared. You must print the form prior to closing it if you want filled-in information to print.

Available in Acrobat Reader 5.0 and above only.

Printing a PDF Form
To print a PDF form, click on the Print Button on the Acrobat Reader tool bar (not your browser's tool bar). Acrobat Reader's printing options are similar to those found in most software programs. If you have difficulty sending the PDF form to your printer, visit the Acrobat Reader Support Area for troubleshooting advice. Note: Some printers have issues with printing PDF format. If your document looks fine on-screen but doesn't print properly, try clicking on the "Print as image" checkbox on the Print dialog box. In many cases, this will resolve any issues.

Using the Find Tool
To find words or characters on the form, click on the "Find" button on the Acrobat Reader tool bar (not your browser's tool bar). Enter the text you want to find in the text box. Select a "Search Option," and click "Find."

Paging through a Document
On multi-page forms, you can move from page to page by using the scroll bar on the right side of the browser window, using the "Hand" tool to move pages up or down, or using the "First Page," "Previous Page," "Next Page," and "Last Page" buttons.
